Drug Free Workplace
Alternative Staffing, Inc. fully supports the Drug Free Work Place Act of 1988 and all employees, presently employed and potential new hire employees, are notified that the possession, distribution, manufacture, and use of all unlawful controlled substance is prohibited in all areas to include company property and job site assignment locations. The drug-free work place act requires Alternative Staffing, Inc. to maintain a drug-free place for its employees. This program is continual and with the intention of providing employees a drug-free work place for their safety and well being, thereby ensuring a productive work force and assurance of non-suspension from performing work on government and non government contracts. The drug-free work place act also requires the following: As a term and condition of employment, each employee agrees to abide by the terms of the act and to report to the management of Alternative Staffing, Inc. all work place related criminal convictions within five (5) days of the conviction. Alternative Staffing, Inc. is required to report these convictions to the appropriate contracting agency within the ten (10) days of conviction. The act requires Alternative Staffing, Inc. to establish a drug free awareness program to include information on drug counseling, assistance and rehabilitation programs. These program costs are the responsibility of the employee.

Penalties for Violations: The manufacturing, distributing, dispensing, possession of, or use of a controlled substance or alcohol on the property of assigned worksite of Alternative Staffing, Inc. will result in immediate termination. Refusal of drug or alcohol testing as required by Alternative Staffing, Inc. or any of its customers or clients will result in termination.

Since January 2010, all persons assigned by Alternative Staffing, Inc. have been required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
